Hitler's Brain

American wartime postcard.

You're No Hitler: George W. Bush

By now, you're probably aware that George W. Bush is no Hitler. Hopefully you understand that comparisons of politicians to Hitler are cheap scare tactics designed to polarize the partisans into blind acceptance of their party line. Given that we are now well into the Obama administration & things feel remarkably similar, if not worse than under the Bush administration, but still remarkably un-Hitler like, i hope this wonderful selection of Bush as Hitlerisms will remind you of the foolishness of partisan hysteria.

The Neo-Nazis of Mongolia: Swastikas Against China

From the "Unlikely Neo-Nazis" file...
From TIME Magazine.
The Neo-Nazis of Mongolia: Swastikas Against China
By MITCH MOXLEY Monday, Jul. 27, 2009

In the Mongolian capital Ulan Bator, "Shoot the Chinese" is spray-painted on a brick wall near a movie theater. A pair of swastikas and the words "Killer Boys ...! danger!" can be read on a fence in an outlying neighborhood of yurt dwellings. Graffiti like this, which can be found all over the city, is the work of Mongolia's neo-Nazis, an admittedly implausible but often intimidating, and occasionally violent, movement. Ulan Bator is home to three ultra-nationalist groups claiming a combined membership of several thousand — a not insignificant number in a country of just 3 million people. They have adopted Nazi paraphernalia and dogma, and are vehemently anti-Chinese. One group, Blue Mongolia, has admitted to shaving the heads of local women found sleeping with Chinese men. Its leader was convicted last year of murdering his daughter's Mongolian boyfriend, who had merely studied in China.
See pictures of race riots continue in China's far west. The neo-Nazis may be on society's fringe, but they represent the extreme of a very real current of nationalism. Sandwiched between Russia and China, with foreign powers clamoring for a slice of the country's vast mineral riches, many Mongolians fear economic and ethnic colonization. This has prompted displays of hostility toward outsiders and slowed crucial foreign-investment negotiations. Fifty-year-old Zagas Erdenebileg is the leader of Dayar Mongol (All Mongolia), the most prominent of the neo-Nazi groups. "If our blood mixes with foreigners', we'll be destroyed immediately," says Erdenebileg, who has run unsuccessfully for parliament four times. He loathes the Chinese — whom he accuses of involvement in prostitution and drug-trafficking — and reveres Genghis Khan, who he says influenced Adolf Hitler. I ask him if he considers his adoption of the beliefs of a regime that singled out and executed people with Mongol features from among Soviet prisoners of war to be in any way ironic. "It doesn't matter," he shrugs. "We share the same policies."

The Vandals - Hitler Bad, Vandals Good

The Vandals - Hitler Bad, Vandals Good.

The Vandals recorded this album in 1998 using one of the most popular political arguments of the 20th century as their title. Haven't heard, don't really want to, especially as there is no song with the album's title. Their first record is pretty good LA suburban hardcore Punk stuff, but they rapidly became a pretty lame band, i can only describe them as "Vans Warped Tour". I was introduced to them through this awesome performance in Penelope Spheeris' "Suburbia" which is a fun watch if you're into that sort of thing.

Nazi Garden Gnomes Threaten New Stupid Germany

Germany Opens 'Nazi' Gnome Case from the BBC.

A garden gnome giving the Nazi salute has landed a German artist in trouble with the authorities in Nuremberg. Prosecutors are investigating whether the gnome, which went on show in one of the city's galleries, breaks the strict law banning Nazi symbols and gestures. The Bavarian city is particularly sensitive about the Nazi era because Adolf Hitler used it for big rallies and leading Nazis went on trial there.
The artist, Ottmar Hoerl, says his gnomes poke fun at the Nazis. "I'm astonished that a single garden gnome, in what is for me an obscure gallery in Nuremberg, has unleashed such a public discussion because of an anonymous denunciation by someone," Mr Hoerl said. The 59-year-old artist has been president of Nuremberg's Academy of Fine Arts since 2005. "I didn't put it in the art gallery. Someone must have bought it and put it there. But I don't know what all the fuss is about. "With my gnomes I'm highlighting the danger of political opportunism and right-wing ideology. I get the feeling that this gnome has reopened an old wound," he said. Last year hundreds of his "Nazi" gnomes went on show in the Belgian city of Gent, in an exhibition called "Dance with the Devil". Mr Hoerl said that Belgians had well understood the political meaning "when one portrays the master race as a garden gnome". "In 1942 I would have been murdered by the Nazis for this work," he said. A spokesman for the Nuremberg public prosecutor's office, Wolfgang Traeg, said "we're checking to see if garden gnomes fall into the same clear category as posters that show the swastika crossed out"
This is obviously a tie-in with our previous post about the NAZPLOITATION book "The Little People".

Wagner Wednesday: Drama Surrounds LA Opera's Performance of "Der Ring"

By JONATHAN LLOYD for NBC LA.

A county supervisor wants the Los Angeles Opera to cancel next year's performances of Wagner's Ring Cycle because of the composer's anti-Semitic writings. Supervisor Mike Antonovich said Holocaust survivors and their families are offended by the festival honoring Wagner. He suggested the opera company rearrange the festival's program by including other composers to take the focus off Wagner. Antonovich released a statement. "To specifically honor and glorify the man whose music and racist anti-Semitic writings inspired (Adolf) Hitler and became the de facto soundtrack for the Holocaust in a countywide festival is an affront to those who have suffered or have been impacted by the horrors of Adolf Hitler’s National Socialistic (sic) Worker Party," Antonovich said in the statement. Along with a multimedia presentation on The Ring, the Opera addresses Wagner's anti-Semitism on its website. "It is important to note here that while Richard Wagner is considered one of the most important and influential of all composers, he is also rightly reviled as having been an anti-Semite. Wagner's writings on the subject percolated into German politics and popular culture and, decades after the composer's death, were celebrated by Adolph Hitler and the Third Reich. It is the Company's belief that opera has value not only as musical and theatrical entertainment, but as a way to gain important historical insight and to explore moral issues. Ring Festival LA will specifically address the subject of Wagner's anti-Semitism in several contexts, including seminars, panel conversations and performances." Tickets for the event are already on sale.

NAZPLOITATION: Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS.

1974, USA. Filmed on the set of Hogan's Heroes, Ilsa, She-Wolf of the SS starred Dyanne Thorne as "Ilsa," commandante of a Nazi Stalag. The maliciousness of her character was very loosely based on that of Ilse Koch. Ilsa conducts sadistic scientific experiments designed to demonstrate that women are more capable of enduring pain than men are, and therefore should be allowed to fight in the army. Ilsa is also portrayed as a buxom woman with a voracious sexual appetite for men. Every night she chooses another one of her male prisoners and rapes him. However, due to her insatiable hunger, she gets disappointed when her current victim eventually ejaculates, and promptly has him castrated. Only an American prisoner, who can withhold ejaculating, manages to use her weakness to his favor.

You're No Hitler: The Weather

ED ANGER: AL GORE THINKS THE WEATHER IS HITLER!
America's Angriest Columnist joins us from The Weekly World News.

I’m madder than Winston Churchill at an A.A. meeting! Just when I figured Al Gore couldn’t get any nuttier, yesterday he made a fool of himself again.

He gave a speech at some fancy British college, and told the kids that fighting global warming was like fighting Hitler.

Well, global warming and World War II both had something to do with “gas”, but other than that, I don’t get it. I didn’t drop out of divinity school like Al Gore did, and I didn’t invent the internet or get a hoity toity Nobel Prize, so can somebody explain his speech to me?

If the sun is Hitler, does that make the moon Mussolini? Are polar bears the Poles? Are cow farts the Kamikaze? OK, Japan was the Land of the Rising Sun but this is ridiculous!

Reading his speech, it’s pretty clear Al Gore thinks he’s the Winston Churchill in all this. Well, he’s fat enough, but that’s about it. I can’t believe Al would think much of Churchill’s famous cigars – don’t they cause pollution? Not as much as Gore’s Lear jet and two SUVs, I’ll bet.

So, is Gore planning on ending global warming by nuking the sun? Twice?

Besides, it was Hitler who started the first anti-smoking campaign. You’d think Al would like him for that!

The trouble with Al Gore’s speech is that nobody’s ever died of global warming, World War II wasn’t a scam FDR cooked up to make money (although I wouldn’t put it past the S.O.B…) and the sun hasn’t bombed Pearl Harbor.

Plus nobody has to hide their Cadillacs and those old-fashioned light bulbs in their attics. Well, not yet, anyhow…

Hitler In The News: Hitler oak divides Polish town

Published: 6 Jul 09 15:45 CET From "The Local".
Residents of the southeastern Polish city of Jaslo are debating whether to destroy a 67-year-old oak tree that was given to the town by Adolf Hitler.
The tree was given to the city in 1942 as a birthday gift from Hitler to the then-head of the town council, said 80-year-old Kazimierz Polak, who was an eyewitness to the planting. Local politicians have called for the tree to be removed.

“The tree remembers the biggest criminal in the history of mankind,” Jaslo mayor Maria Kurovska told a Polish newspaper. She has ordered the oak to be chopped down and publicly burned.

The debate about the oak arose due to urban renewal, not the tree’s historical provenance. The city plans to build a new intersection in the centre of town which would require removing the tree, which managed to survive World War II, when 97 percent of the city was destroyed on Hitler’s orders.

But the Hitler oak has its defenders, including eyewitness Polak, who has started a petition campaign to preserve the tree. Tomasz Kasprzyk, who runs a housing estate in central Jaslo has also joined the fight, saying the oak should be a nature memorial and not a symbol of Nazism.

“Hitler was the guilty one, why should the oak suffer for that?” said city councilman Krzysztof Czelusnik

Nazi Propaganda: Either Or in the Red War,

I was struck by this poster. Alot of NAZI graphic design of this period use a combination of very traditional Germanic forms, but in dynamic modern presentation.
In the Red War,
Mother or [Communist] "Comrade"?
People or Machines?
God or Devil?
Blood or Gold?
Race [Racial Purity] or Crossbreed [Mixed-race children]?
Folk Songs or Jazz?
National Socialism [Naziism] or Bolshevism?

An email from Greg Hallett to Henry Makow

From Henry Makow.
Hitler left the Bunker at 3.50 pm 30 April 1945 and hid in the bulkhead passage until 8 pm.
Martin Bormann left the bunker at 8.40 pm 1 May 1945.
Operation James Bond rescued Bormann by kayak.
Operation Winnie the Pooh rescued Hitler by submarine, plane, then boat, then plane.
Op James Bond was originally captained by Ian Fleming.
Fleming left Op James Bond at 9.50 pm on 1 May 1945 and moved over to Op Winnie the Pooh, leaving Chris Creighton in command.
Chris Creighton then captained Op James Bond and rescued Bormann. They paddled down stream at night and camped during the day at Wannsee near Pfaueninsel Island (Peacocks Island). They left by night again on 2 May 1945.
The two operations happened concurrently.
Op Winnie the Pooh was kept secret from the team because Anthony Blunt was part of the team, but refused to attend training, he King George V's illegitimate son, and he was a Russian spy. The Russians wanted to take Berlin and Hitler.
Bormann was the Chancellor and had the money.
Hitler was the former Fuhrer who had the Swiss bank account numbers and larger secrets, some of them NAZI secret military.
Bormann went to England.
Hitler went to Spain.
Hitler got out through the locks (the locks close off the water to the Upper River Spree).
The tunnels, between the upper and lower locks, were being used as a Red Cross Hospital. The lower locks were closed, the upper locks were opened and everyone was drowned on 28 April 1945.
The upper locks were then closed at 6 pm 29 April 1945 and the lower locks were opened partially draining the water and flooding the River Spree with bodies, which covered Hitler's scout party floating down the River Spree and breathing through snorkels. They got word back that it could be done . . . then
Hitler and Eva left the bunker at 3.50 pm on 30 April 1945 and hid in the bulkhead passage and locked themsleves in until 8 pm.
The lower lock was fully opened at 10.30 pm releasing more bodies which helped hide the mini-sub when it got to crucial areas further down stream.
At 11 pm on 30 April 1945, the Hitlers (Adolf and Eva) and aides, kayaked through the tunnels to the open lower lock, and got into a WK202 mini-submarine (36.5m long) at 11.30 pm, submerged at 11.40 pm, and waited.
Just as the night sky was lit by flares from battles over the top of them from either bank at 11.55 pm 30 April 1945, they motored out into the current.
Five Hitler body doubles were then shot with state sanctioned 10.5 mm bullets on top of the bunker at 1.00 am 1 May 1945. Another Hitler body double had been killed down below, carried up outside and burnt 10 hours earlier. This one is commonly referred to as 'the dead Hitler'.
Hitler waited a day-and-a-half in the min-sub in Lake Havel under the shadow of Schwanenwerder Peninsula when Hanna Reitsch landed a Junkers JU52/3m g14e on Lake Havel at 4.15 pm 2 May 1945, opened her flaps and lowered the ladder. The mini-sub then rose up underneath the Junkers.
Hitler and Eva nee Braun Hitler climbed up the conning tower of the WK202 mini-sub, onto the ladder, and into the plane, protected from any stray bullets by the flaps. They left the lake at 4.24 pm 2 May 1945.
They flew 15 minutes east of Berlin to Lake Muggelsee (31 km in a direct line) and were met by former Op JB Commander Ian Fleming in an acquired motor launch, and dressed as a Russian Officer, having left Op JB about 19 hours prior.
Hitler gave Fleming the papers, then got into the launch and drove to the shore. Fleming only ever referred to Adolf and Eva Hitler as 'Mr Rabbit' and 'Mrs Rabbit'.
They got in a Westland Lysander IIIA, Serial No. V9673 flown by Hugh Verity DSO DFC who had been waiting for 14 hours, since 2 am, 2 May 1945. The plane had been covered with branches.
Ian Fleming had placed a time-release bomb on the launch and soon after they lifted off, the motor launch exploded. This is the origin of the James Bond books and films - leaving with the woman and everything exploding behind them. Hitler was the original James Bond character.
Hanna Reitsch in her Junkers JU52/3m g14e flew with the Lysander, both of them to just outside Barcelona, Spain, arriving around 3 am where they were met by Ramon Serrano Suner.
Hanna Reitsch then returned to Germany three days later and gave a dressing down from Hitler to some of his key players.

Greg Hallett wrote the book "Hitler was a British Agent".
